Here we are for log #2! I am around 6 months pregnant now and counting down the weeks (OK, minutes) until I am due. I will be 100% honest and say I am not a pleasant pregnant person. I am much more excited to meet our baby boy and experience all things newborn versus carrying this weight around!
Cravings: Still loving red grapes and lately I’ve been SO thirsty. I love the large teas from Quick Trip. I am limiting caffeine just to be safe, but not completely cutting it out like I did with Abrielle. I also love cherry limeades and soft pretzels.
Movement: This boy has been on the move since 16 weeks. He particularly likes to dance on my bladder at night and at the most inopportune times.
Measurements: My OB said he’s on track to be about the same weight as Abrielle was – close to 7 lbs. I sure hope so! Much respect to all the amazing women out there who carry larger babies and twins. Fingers crossed for 2 weeks early like my first as well. She was healthy at 6 lbs, 5 oz and it was healthier for my body too.
The Ugh Factor: I hate to complain because I know so many women struggle with fertility and it’s a blessing to carry my own baby. But, I will say I am constantly exhausted with nagging back and hip pain. I haven’t had a restful sleep in months due to constant bathroom breaks and aches. Even when I really just want to lay on the couch, I am most comfortable when active and mowing the lawn! Thank goodness for another summer pregnancy! I mowed every week when pregnant with Abrielle, up until literally the day I went into labor. Can you guess what I will be doing the weekend of July 20? LOL!
Big sister: While she has plenty of terrible 2 meltdowns, her sweet soul brings me to happy tears. She is going to be such a great big sister. She’s been in awe of her best friend Maddie’s newborn sibling. She includes her baby brother in her prayers and likes to kiss my stomach.
Photo shoots: I am still offering photo sessions but I am sure I will slow it down as we get closer to July. Then the goal is to be back in action later in the Fall for the busy season!
Stella is 4 months old and we’ve had her about 7 weeks now. She is growing like a weed!
Here is a rare calm moment with puppy and toddler.
Abrielle is keeping Abby’s memory alive.
Remington and Stella wrestle like this any chance they can. She’s definitely keeping him young.
